SOFIX dropped more than 160 points for the week to end below 600 level.
A new index will enable investors to track 513 Eastern European companies in 18 countries. Dow Jones Stoxx Eastern Europe Total Market Index covers 16 BSE-traded blue chips - Albena, Albena Invest Holding, Bulgarian River Shipping, Doverie United Holding, Chimimport, Industrial Holding Bulgaria, Lead and Zinc Complex, Monbat, Odessos Shiprepair Yard, Orgachim, Petrol, Sopharma, Sparky Eltos, Stara Planina Hold, Synergon Holding and Central Cooperative Bank.
Industrial Holding Bulgaria announced it will auction off on October 9 the idle rights to its capital hike. The company will offer 17 055 586 rights for which no convertible bonds have been subscribed. The holding company's second convertible bond totals 21 878 000 levs distributed in 218 780 bonds with issue and par value 100 levs each. The bonds have an annual interest rate fixed at 8% with coupon payments due semi-annually, and mature three years after the issue date but can be swapped for shares in the second year with a conversion ratio of 12.
A unit of Bulgarian property developer FairPlay International will offer to investors four million ordinary shares with par value of BGN 1.0 each and an issue price in the range BGN 1.90 to 2.70. About 90% of FairPlay Agricultural Fund's capital is held by FairPlay International.
